Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, we have changed our hours slightly. We will be closed every Wednesday until further notice, but will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. We will also be limiting the number of clients allowed into the building at one time, and we are asking individuals to use the hand sanitizer in our vestibule as you enter our hospital and as you leave. We are also requesting that if you need to pick up medications, please first give us a 24-hour notice, then either pay by credit card over the phone when you order or have your check already made out for the correct amount to limit your time in the hospital. We can also bring the medication out to your car if you prefer that option.
There is a considerable amount of confusion regarding the Corona Virus and whether or not we can transmit it to pets (or if they can transmit it to us). Dogs and cats have their own species-specific corona viruses that are not transmissible to humans. Below is information from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) regarding COVID-19 and what you need to be concerned about regarding your pets. As the AVMA notice says, smooth surfaces (such as countertops, doorknobs) transmit viruses better than porous surfaces (like your pet’s fur and paper money) that tend to absorb and trap the pathogen (virus) making it harder to contract through touch.
Above all else, remember that we are all in this together, and we truly need to rely on everyone to get through this crisis. Thank you!
